Hello, I'm Nicole!

Wife.  Mom to a rainbow named Anderson and an aussiedoodle named Gibbs.  Registered Nurse.  Entrepreneur.  Infertility and miscarriage survivor.

3 Months.

3 Months.

The end of Pregnancy and Infant Loss month has me really appreciating my 3 month old rainbow today. Especially since he slept 6 hours last night!

The struggle has been real lately because Mr. Monkey has decided he doesn’t like to sleep. And suddenly at 4 a.m. he always thinks it’s time to push out all his toots and poop! Every. Day.

I cannot believe it’s been 3 months already! I’m really missing those newborn days where he slept all day. It’s proving pretty challenging running 2 businesses and a blog, but we’re making it work!

I’ve learned self-care is so important as a mom. Last night I honestly sat in the bathtub eating Halloween candy with an amazing bath bomb that smelled like Juicy Fruit. I really need those self-care moments to help myself stay grateful and mindful. Burnout is not fun and it doesn’t help anyone be a good parent.

At 3 months Anderson loves to smile and laugh. He has just taken a liking to toys this week...Mr. Elephant and Mr. Bear are our favourites...okay maybe I’m the LEAST imaginative person on the face of this earth and can’t come up with better names for his toys than Mr. Elephant, Mr. Bear, Mr. Giraffe, etc. He hasn’t mastered rolling over quite yet but he can roll up on his side like a champ. He loves to be in the wrap and is still the best snuggle bug. I’m taking advantage of all these snuggles while I can!

Our next blog will be posted next week. This week is a busy one for us as we prepare for Jeremy to go deer hunting!
